hi! thank you for being civil about this /gen <3 i love answering questions like these when proposed in this way we cosplay andrew&ashley because we're both lovers of tcoaal, and yes we do ship them ! not only because it's canon—shipping characters together isn't always in a glorified/romanticized context, if that makes sense. shipping is just a way to explore the relationship of two characters, whether it be unhealthy in any way or not. personally we think the way them and their dynamic's portrayal was wonderful, we see a lot of the characters in ourselves (not the incest part, before anyone else sees and says anything. for example, as someone with borderline personality disorder i see a lot of me in ashley), and just generally it's fun to have that freedom of shipping whoever you'd like knowing your enjoyment of those tropes doesn't bleed into real life in the slightest. nobody is "promoting incest" by cosplaying characters on a pixelated pony game. there are minors on the safe server, sure, but the internet itself has limits on who should and shouldn't be there. if there are children young enough to be influenced by two names on two pixel ponies (which are only optional to look at) even on the internet in the first place, that's not our faults. blame their parents for giving them unrestricted internet access at their age, and letting them stumble upon those things without monitoring them. because i can assure you we will not be the worst thing they see /gen media does very well affect kids! that's why internet access should only be given to people old enough to understand the line between fictional tropes and what you should do in real life. no one is going to cater their online experience to children, especially since they aren't supposed to be there anyway. they'll also be exposed to, like in your example, hazbin hotel, which deals with topics like murder, rape, really everything shitty since it takes place in hell—and an even farther reach by that logic, people cosplay forsaken ponies everywhere, which contains murder, worshipping & cults and topics of that like, etc. media certainly affects kids, but there is media with dark topics EVERYWHERE, and if a kid gets their hands on that, that's not at fault of the media creators or the people enjoying it. again, it's at fault of the parents for not monitoring their internet usage none of the shows or medias listed romanticize anything. romanticizing would mean someone is promoting it as a good and ideal thing in real life, which nobody is doing. simply enjoying or joking about characters from a potentially dark media isn't promoting or romanticizing any of its topics, it's just indulging in fiction freely. i don't think it just existing in the safe server is an issue, especially considering the fact that again, you shouldn't be on the internet unsupervised if you're young enough to be influenced by it/vulnerable enough to be triggered by it. i'm not an adult yet so i couldn't be on 18+ :,) i'd rather not sneak into a place i'm not welcome it's a bit of both! most of the dynamics i enjoy in fiction have SOME kind of deeper meaning behind them, so sure it's definitely a coping mechanism in a way? but i don't like to call it that for myself, because we do it purely for the enjoyment of it and being able to explore fiction freely. and yeah feel absolutely free to hide us if you're uncomfortable, we encourage it! again thank you for asking civilly about this <33

ITS OK U DIDNT COME OFF AS RUDE AT ALL i love when ppl genuinely ask questions instead of just harassing lol tysm <33 the way i see it is that if children young enough to be roaming free on the internet and being influenced by everything they see are even ON there in the first place, it's at fault of their parents and not people that might do this kind of stuff. many adults go to the safe server, many people cosplay from games that also have dark topics in the safe server, they just get under the radar because it's not """"romanticized"""" like they like to say. 2 green and pink ponies definitely won't be the worst thing a vulnerable kid sees if they're already susceptible enough to being influenced by it so it's not really at fault of anyone that's making the content

there's so much to say about this one lolol. firstly, i never blamed kids for not staying off of the internet. never have i EVER said that. i'm blaming these neglectful ass parents that give their far too young children access to roam freely on the internet w/o supervision. some stupid fucking video game ponies are not going to be the worst thing they see, i can assure you that. and sure, i was one of those kids with unrestricted internet access, you're right about that! and i grew up to learn the difference between essentially playing with fictional dolls and fucking your real siblings, and that one is horrible and one isn't, so clearly i didn't go as horribly as Some People, seeing as none of you know that for some reason. the reason i said no one is getting off on crimes is because, not only is making fictional fucking ponies sit together not a crime lol, but also no one is getting off. not once did i or my boyfriend make ANY sexual comment to any degree while on ponytown, at least not outside of whispers to each other and each other only. no one is "getting off" if we're just sitting together. people actually do that all the time on this game, believe it or not! it doesn't make it "getting off" when it's characters you don't like! and for your information, i don't worry about people sending me death threats. i actually don't give one shit about it. which is funny that your people have desensitized me and so many others to being told to kill myself and get raped over fictional characters that aren't harming anyone in real life lolol. you guys are so quick to assume everything about taboo fiction is sexual, even when it comes down to two colored ponies sitting by eachother on a video game. get your fucking head checked out please instead of wasting space in my guestbook telling me nothing that matters. <3
